You’re Invited: Mark Your Calendars~
Join us for Bauer’s Annual Holiday Open House, November 23 through 25, and Small Business Saturday, November 24.  Start off the 2018 Holiday Season with Bauer’s Market!  Enjoy a winter wonderland of holiday spirit- grab yourself a warm cup of apple cider and take a walk around to browse our market, home décor & gift area, Christmas items, the colorful poinsettias, and more.  Fresh cut Christmas Trees abound, beautiful Poinsettias to brighten any room, and garland & wreaths to bring cheer inside or out! Bauer’s has everything you need for the joyous but busy season.  

New Workshop Opportunities!
Gather your friends, create your own porch pot or wreath, and make some new memories this season!  Add your personal touch to your outdoors with personalized wreaths and one-of-a-kind porch pots.  For the porch pot workshop, guests will receive a 10″ pot {use as-is or it’s perfect for setting inside a piece of your favorite pottery} and greens.  Wreath workshops will include a pre-made wreath and bow.  There will be plenty of picks, dogwood & birch poles, baubles, and other goodies to add just the right amount of sparkle for your taste.  Costs will vary based on what you use to design your own creations.  Dates will be announced soon so stay tuned.  

Bauer’s Busy Bees: Holiday Series
We’re happy to announce that we’ll be hosting Busy Bees events this holiday season!  These open house style, hands-on workshops will continue to be held Saturday mornings from 8-10am and designed for children 3-10.  Dates and event details coming soon; info will be posted on all digital media and in-store.

🍎 Apples, Apples, Apples 🍎
The season is still strong with about 20 varieties of fresh, local apples available yet.  Thanksgiving is next week and apple pie or bars should adorn every holiday dessert table!  Make yours with a mix  {two or more varieties} of good baking varieties to add flavor depth to any baked apple dessert.  My favorites are Cortland, Haralson, and Golden Delicious.  Of course, we have plenty of eating varieties also… ask for a free sample the Sonya or Pixie Crunch!  Bauer’s Customer Appreciation Days is still going on – save big with huge savings on a number of varieties.  Take a look under our Apple tab on the website for new apple recipes.  We post a new apple recipe every week during apple season so check back often!  A complete list of apple varieties currently available can be found here.

November Gardening Tip…
Store liquid pesticides, organic and non, where temperatures won’t fall below 40*. When temperatures get too low, this may result in a breakdown of the chemicals. There is also risk of the plastic container cracking and scattering the chemical.  

Savor the Fall Season…
The holidays are upon us and with that comes dinners and baking galore.  Stop in and pick up some tasty baked apple goodies before they’re gone for the season, grab yourself a fresh baked apple pie and make your holiday dinner duty list a bit lighter.  What’s Thanksgiving without cranberries?  Ditch the canned kind and make your own this year!  Bauer’s has plenty of other items only found at this time of year too… Scrumptious apple fritter bread (baked daily) that makes the best French toast, Minnesota made soups, fresh pressed apple cider, and so much more.  And don’t forget your caramel apples!
