Ingredients
- 3/4c brown sugar
- 1/4c flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- 7 medium apples, peeled & sliced
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp butter, cubed
- 2 unbaked pie crusts
- egg wash for brushing crust
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375*
- Mix together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg
- Place apple slices in mixing bowl. Toss with dry ingredients to coat
- Press pie crust into 9″ pie dish. Fill with apple mixture
- Drizzle lemon juice over apples. Sprinkle cubed butter over apples
- Place second pie crust over filling {feel free to make a lattice top. If not, cut slits on top crust to vent steam}. Press edges to seal
- Bake 55-60 minutes & let cool before slicing
