Ingredients
- 4 medium apples
- 3 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tsp cinnamon
- 1/3c sugar
- 1 Tbsp & 1 Tsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp water
Directions
- Peel, core, slice apples
- Melt butter & cinnamon over medium heat. Stir in apples, sugar, 3 Tbsp water
- Cover & cook, stirring occasionally for 4-6 minutes or until slightly softened
- In a small dish combine cornstarch & water. Add to pan while stirring & continue to cook until apples are soft (not mushy!) and filling is thickened. Let bubble 1 minute. Cool & store.
*Notes: Some apples are juicier than others. If you’d like your filling thicker, combine 1 Tbsp cornstarch with 1 Tbsp water. Add a little at a time while the mixture is boiling until you reach desired consistency.
