During the summer months, not much changes too rapidly around here.  Now that August is in full swing, we’re ramping up for Fall!  Apple season is slowly beginning and fall plants are available.  Check out more details below.

Bauer’s wants YOU!
Bauer’s is now hiring for our Fall season!  We’re looking for hardworking team players who will be on time, work well with others & follow direction, want to learn, and enjoy people.  Jump over to our Employment page and take a look at the position descriptions.  If you think you’d be a good fit, fill out our application!  We’re also hiring for a Perennial staff position- if interested, please complete an application and send your resume to Info@BauersMarketPlace.com.  Positions are both full-time and part-time; hours vary from 6:30am to 8:30pm depending on position; weekend hours are a must for some positions.  Maybe you know someone, so feel free to pass along the word.

Bauer’s Busy Bees
We’re busy scheduling the Spring 2019 series for Bauer’s Busy Bees.  In the meanwhile, we’re also trying to fit in some Busy Bees events for this fall and upcoming winter.  Check our website calendar and Facebook for updates.  For those of you who joined us during any of Bauer’s Busy Bees events throughout the spring series, we sure hope you had as much fun as we did!  Please send us photo updates of any of the projects as we love to see your happy children with their garden creations.

Apple Season 2018…
Sadly, one of our local growers decided to retire which means we don’t have quite the stock of early season apples as usual.  BUT, we do still have availability.  If you’re looking for apples, call ahead for the day’s varieties.  Within the next few weeks, more varieties of apples will become available more readily and the season will get underway!  

Garden Fresh Goodies!
While apple season isn’t quite booming yet, Bauer’s Market has plenty of fresh, local fruits and veggies!  Stop in and pick up some local muscatine melon, homegrown zucchini, juicy watermelon, kossak kohlrabi (those giant ones!), and other tasty goodies.
