Dig Once, Get Two Seasons of Color!
Come Spring, we all want color and are sick of the winter white. Consider planting spring blooming bulbs- it’s super easy and depending on the variety you choose, you can have color as early as March- yes some bulbs will push through and even provide color among the snow covered ground! If you’re planting your hardy mums in the garden, plan to throw down some fertilizer and add some bulbs before you plant your mum plants…. dig once, get two seasons of color. Bauer’s has hyacinth, crocus (snow tolerant), daffodils, specialty varieties, and a huge assortment of tulips. No place to plant bulbs in the garden? Create early-season color in your patio pots by layering spring blooming bulbs in terra cotta pots. Check out the simple steps below.
