Ingredients

  • 8 medium sized apples – peeled, sliced and cored
  • 1 Tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted & cooled
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, if desired

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350*
  2. Spray a pie plate with non-stick spray
  3. Fill pie plate 3/4 full with sliced apples
  4. Sprinkle apples with 1 Tbsp white sugar & cinnamon
  5. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, 1c sugar, salt, egg, flour, almond extract & pecans.  Mix well
  6. Gently pour egg mixture over apples
  7. Bake 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream
