🌱 Real Foodies Grow Their Own 🌱
Bauer’s has everything you need for seed starting – a huge selection of gardening seeds from many companies, including organic vegetables & herbs; propagation trays; peat pots & pellets; seed starting greenhouses; and soil. Head on over to our blog and read Seeding Basics and Seeding Calendar for tips. Seed starting with some varieties can be a bit tricky or take quite a long time but overall, seed starting can be pretty easy. Maybe you know you want to create an edible garden this year with tomatoes, peppers, and herbs or you’d like to increase your selection of pollinators in your flower beds – either way, we can help! Of course, you can make it easy on yourself and buy plant starts instead of starting your vegetable or flower garden from seed. Bauer’s offers many varieties of vegetables in a wide selection along with pak annuals, premium annuals, and even finished patio pots & hanging baskets for both sun and shade in an assortment of colors and flower styles.
Bauer’s Busy Bees, Spring series
For the debut workshop, we had a lot of happy kids! Busy Bee host, Kaitlyn, read kids ‘Planting a Rainbow’ and talked about different flowers and blooms then kids planted their very own Rainbow Garden to take home with them. Check out the rest of the Busy Bees workshop themes here.
Spring Planning at Bauer’s Continues!
Please send us an email and let us know what workshops you’d like to see and any seminar topics we should cover this spring. You can email us here. Visit our online calendar to see what we have scheduled so far. More events are added often so check back frequently.
In the Blog…
Notice a brown hue to your evergreens after our harsh winter? It’s likely winter burn and unless the damage is extremely severe, it’s nothing to be too concerned with. Read up on what to do now and tips to prevent it from happening again in our blog below.
The old saying goes, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, right? Dormant Oil Spray helps us get ahead of the pest population while trees are still dormant, targeting the pests and leaving the rest. Read more about the benefits of Dormant Oil Spray in our blog.
