Ingredients

  • 2 small apples
  • 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2c apple cider (we have that!)
  • 5 oz plain yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cloves

Directions

  1. Core, peel, chop apples
  2. Melt butter in small saucepan and add apples.  Saute until they are really soft, stirring occasionally
  3. Add apple cider and stir to combine over low heat, until warmed.  Remove from heat
  4. Using a blender, immersion blender, or food processor, puree the apple mixture.  Be careful to vent to blender or food processor to avoid burns and cover blender/food processor with towel to prevent a mess
  5. Add the yogurt and spices, stir to combine.  Serve immediately, garnish with apple slices (and cinnamon sticks if desired)
